Tow Bars

Hi Barry (if you’re still on the forum!). Is it the reversing sensors that are disabled, and are they only temporarily disabled whilst the tow bar is attached, but enabled when it’s removed...? And are any of the other electrics changed...? Or the camera system...? Wondering if anyone has had electric issues with a non-MB retrofitted removable tow bar...?

I had the Westfalia towbar retro fitted and no problems, everything works.

I can't tell you about the reprogramming but the net effect is that when your lights plugged into the towbar electrics the proximity alert doesn't wail at you. Any competent towbar specialist that includes reprogramming as part of their deal can do the job. I'm not aware of any warranty issues and wouldn't anticipate any.
