That's all I did. At some point I'll pop a bit of heatshrink or something around the end where it pushes on to neaten it up.

Has anyone else made one ?

Hi Brian and Katie. Yes, I’ve bought the connector and was also wondering how to neaten the end up. Any advice on this gratefully received.

Just done mine and used a jubilee clip to stop the steel outside bit of the hose slipping down. My hose went on easily so maybe a slightly larger size?

I did a quick google and looks like the internal hose on shower hoses varies vastly in size. Mine was a very, very cheap one! All working fine I hope?

@GeorgeG , You could probably just use a bit of electrical / duct tape if you don't have suitably sized shrink wrap ?

Shower head has arrived but although it fits the hose fine, the rubber hose itself is an 11mm bore, which explains why it fit on to the other end so easily.
I'm now going to have to buy a hose. Does anyone know what size they have - apparently they come in different sizes, including 8mm which might make a nice tight fit?

If useful to anyone, I bought this hose with a 6mm diameter which fitted perfectly post cutting off one end (push hard to get on, but no heat required and impossible now to pull off):

...and finally choose a shower head that I felt complimented the same colours and did not look like an old one from home:

Overall cost was £8 (adaptor), £10 (hose), £10 (shower head). Time to do: about 10 mins. And you get the chance to personalise your shower system rather than pay for an over-priced MB version, so you can put the saving towards something else for the van...

I did something similar to that and a bit cheaper, but I think yours is very impressive. I used a different RS fitting - there are 100’s of them - but your solution is much neater. Well done!

The RS part I used is actually the same as tobyw’s.

I bought something similar from Amazon. Tip: Once you have cut the end off, soak in a cup of boiling water for a couple of minutes. Slides on easily then once cooled, as you say, nigh on impossible to pull off

I *think* I've sussed what connector it is. I've ordered one from RS today so will let you all know tomorrow if it fits. Would then need a bit of hose and a shower head but those are cheap cheap.

Thanks Brian - managed to get one and the shower worked really well until I snapped the connection on the vehicle side any ideas where to get that replacement by any chance ?

Bought the same shower head & attachment but unfortunately couldn't get hold of the b&q hose. Got a screwfix version (critically still 6mm internal diameter) for a bit more money but all works like a treat. Still much cheaper than the MB version and all the fun of doing it myself!

I got my hose on amazon, looks even better than then mb one, I've also upgrade the shower head, it cost me 45 in the end, but I'm very pleased with the quality, haha.
