Gas Cylinder

I've just bought a 907 Gas Cylinder, but the hose fitting in the Merc shown in first pic, I've not seen before. I believe there's something missing from the hose fitting that allows me to clip it on the cylinder fitting shown in second pic. Am I right? Thank you.
