Ambient Lighting??

Hi, Having collected my Marco Polo this morning, which by the way was made a very underwhelming experience by Mercedes Benz Cheshire Oaks and their quite woeful customer service, very poor vehicle presentation (dirty and looked like it had been valeted by Stevie Wonder) and simply non existent knowledge of the MP operating features at the handover, I have got it home and set about playing with it....

My question is, for all you current owners, does the MP have the same Ambient Lighting arrangement as the V Class around the dash area (as pictured).. according to the Mercedes brochure and manual it states the MP as having 'Ambient lighting with 3 colour options' however mine certainly doesn't??

I have the rear cabinet lighting etc, but what i'm after is the dash lighting... does this exist on anyone elses??

Hi Andrew, I had the same question when we collected our ex demonstrator from Mercedes Milton Keynes a few months ago. The dealer was surprised that it wasn’t present as the online manual and brochure listed it as fitted, in the end they thought it was different model years and couldn’t help at all.

Hi Darryl, thanks for taking the time to reply... whilst I’m pleased it’s not just mine, I am a bit baffled as to why they don’t have them fitted... I can’t imagine it’s a great cost saving by omitting this and as you rightly point out, it’s listed as fitted in all of Mercedes specification brochures both digital and hard copies... it’s something I was really looking forward to!

after reading this I had a look at the Mercedes brochure online. what comes up is a mix of standard V class and Marco Polo. the ambient lighting picture shows the V class dashboard, in the kit list of the Marco Polo it states ambient lighting, but this however is the light around the kitchen unit and not the dashboard one as in the picture. all very misleading.

Just to wrap up this thread, I picked up my MP today and it comes with colourfully ambient lighting below the dashboard and also cupholders in the center console.

Ours was May order and doesn't have either!

Ordered June, arrived October, have centre console cup holders but no ambient dash light.
