I Have as of yet NOT slept in my MP, but whilst I was sitting in the van when my wife had a hospital appointment for two hours, I was playing in the back. Locking the doors central locking, I thought, ? HOW DO YOU SLEEP IN THE VAN AT NIGHT WITH THE FENTRAL LOCKING BEING LOCKED FOR SAFTY REASONS WITHOUT SETTING OFF THE ALARM ????. Your thoughts please.

Lock it from the inside using the buttons on the door

You can also disable the internal motion sensor from the button on the roof console and then you can use the key fob to lock the doors. This is also useful if you want to, for example, leave a dog in the van for a short period without triggering the alarm.

Hi Legless! Hope you wife is okay. I unfortunately sometimes set off the alarm early morning when I slept in it solo on my Europe trip recently In September and October, and would forget the van was locked and open the sliding door and wake up everyone in the vicinity! So, for me, it was just a matter of remembering to use the key to unlock the car before opening any door in the mornings. Does that help?

Not so obvious... I spent plenty of time thinking about it when I first got our MP. We have spent well over 100 nights in it and tbh don't bother anymore. All about what will help you get a good night's rest in the end though.
I would ALWAYS lock the door as I am a woman travelling solo. I took a pair of my sons large shoes and my dead dog's big water bowl and put that outside when the area I was staying in felt a little unsafe

Hi there is a button on the left hand side top of the overhead console it has a built in led press that and then lock the van as usual
The door sensors will be set but the space sensor inside will be unset
It’s how you set the alarm for dogs inside or on ferries

There are actually two buttons on the top centre console. The one on the left disables the internal motion sensor, which is the relevant one here, but if you want to leave your car locked on the ferry and not have the alarm going off with the motion then use the tow-away protection one on the right side.
