Has anyone compared the MP with and without Command?

I have it in my CLS but after looking at one today without Command I was told the only real difference is Command has a slightly larger screen and live traffic updates. But now with M-B ME app you get live updates anyway.

Can anyone tell me if there are any more differences?

Also, I was told they are doing away with the touch pad and new MP’s will ship without them. Is this any loss?

Command has a better video interface. If you want to have parking camera or 360 camera Mercedes build the car with command, not audio 10 or audio 20

Do you mean you can only have 360 camera with Command? The main thing I want is for live updates. I don’t use most of the other features on Command, can you get live traffic updates on your route via the normal satnav?

That's it. If you want to use audio 20 for parkering/back camera you have to install another display screen OR a third-party adapter.

I've have checked this and yes, you can have parking camera with audio 20. It was my mistake ... sorry for the missanderstand.

I can confirm you can indeed use rear camera and 360 camera (optional) without Command as mine is the standard system but works fine.

Thabks for clarification. I take it you have the standard sat-nav then, does it give live traffic updates on route?

Yes it does and it gives you alternative routes as well

It does a few other things such as hard disk drive and wireless hotspot but I don’t use these features in my car now so won’t in the future.
