Leisure Battery

Dear All

Can anyone advise on the specifications of the Leisure battery in a 2018 Marco polo

Battery is located under passenger seat

Is there a part number available as I can’t locate it in my manual and MB aren’t that familiar with the vehicle configuration

Any / all advise welcomed

This is what we have. We asked the dealer if there should have been a different battery for the leisure (auxiliary). We were told “Mercedes fitted the same for both”. However many people here have fitted Lithium. The starter battery is expensive as it’s supporting stop and go. Therefore I’d take advice. I know also there maybe changes in the charge relays to allow the alternator to charge Lithium.

Thank you for taking the time to reply

Seems after further digging on here that maybe a different battery should be used. Even though shows as good have to say we do have occasional issues with roof, seats and fridge. All seems to point to battery not holding charge. I’ve been pointed to this as an appropriate replacement

Or this AGM version

I have recently had issues with both my batteries (2021 MP but I think batteries are the same on the previous model - the space for them certainly hasn't changed)

Car battery is 95Ah
Leisure battery is 80Ah
Both are AGM batteries.

I have now fitted a Lithium battery (180Ah Titan) but I would recommend you get a DC-DC charger if you wish to go down the Lithium path - it's not a bad idea even sticking with the existing battery - no risk of the relay sticking and draining the car battery, and some can also condition the leisure battery

By the way I specified Titan as not all Lithium batteries are the same dimensions - many are apparently too tall.
