Sundays stupid question

I've confused myself not difficult, it's really not.
Circuit breaker should it always be on, in up position or only when on hook up?
First time on hook up for a few days last week. Worked perfect but not sure now if it should be switched off, down?
Also photos look correct?

Apologies :)

It’s an isolator and earth leakage protection between the hook up connection and the van mains electrics and the mains socket N.B The mains socket only works on hook up.
Pitfall for the unwary: the test button can get knocked and the vehicle batteries wont be be charging when on hook up. Been there done that! Happy travels.

Thanks mate

Sorry but can I leave this off unless I'm on hook up. Like I said it all worked perfect but wasn't sure once I'd disconnected and left the site, I should return it to the off position or doesn't it matter?

Thanks again

Thanks both of you, since being plugged in for 3 days last week. Battery struggling to hold charge. New battery in Jan so might need to have it checked.
Just trying to make sure nothing obvious I'm doing wrong

Cheers again

But you had the switch turned off from your previous post?
If so, re-read Epigram's post above
